To help provide food-insecure Kauaians with a living and nutritional foundation, so that they can tackle the other challenges in their lives.

Ho`okipa Kauai Food Pantry uses the Client Choice distribution model - Our fixed-site distributions offer participants a choice of groceries rather than a generic, pre-prepared food bag filled according to whatever is available through government programs. In addition to the frozen, processed and canned foods we obtain from local food banks, we purchase selections of fresh meat, produce, dairy and eggs to give our clients a variety of nutritious offerings.
 

The name Ho`okipa Kauai was chosen to celebrate the way we operate. Ho`okipa is the Hawaiian word for hospitality with a spirit of Aloha, meaning complete and unselfish
hospitality extended to guests and strangers alike without expecting anything in return.
